Formed
in early 1997 (by Christian Hochfilzer, Kris Fredrickson and Leo Baghdassarian) now a division of eMediaLogic, Inc., CarbonPixel Media quickly set out
to build a reputation and ascended to a position of prominence
within the San Diego marketing and media development industry.
Since its inception, the CarbonPixel name has been associated with
cutting-edge creativity, modern innovation, and most importantly
results.
Our industry experience matched with what some describe as a “healthy
obsession with perfectionism” has put CarbonPixel’s
team in the position to be associated with the likes of Sony, Volvo
America, Fox Television and BakBone Software, to name a few.
Our stringent hiring practices ensure that CarbonPixel is comprised
of only the most creative, talented and intelligent developers,
project managers and executives from numerous backgrounds.
Today, CarbonPixel is actively seeking new partnerships in the
marketing and media development industry while working to strengthen
our current longstanding relationships. Through eMediaLogic, Inc, our holding
and management company, we have been involved in philanthropic
efforts supporting the arts and many other deserving causes in
and around the San Diego area.
Why
we chose our company name:
Studies
have shown that an effective company name serves numerous purposes.
It must simultaneously intrigue, explain, and appeal to our target
market. After much consideration, we adopted the CarbonPixel name
for the following reasons.
The element Carbon occurs naturally in several forms (most notably
graphite and diamond). Besides being found in the clothes you wear,
the food you eat, and the fuel that propels your car, Carbon also
accounts for roughly 18% of the human body by mass. At the atomic
level, Carbon is composed of many layers and plays an almost infinite
number of roles in the life cycle. Put simply, without Carbon life
would cease to exist.
The pixel is the atom of design: the smallest element of any given
picture. The pixel is an often miniscule square, invisible to the
naked eye that can take on only one color at a time. Alone, the
pixel is all but useless. However, when a mosaic of pixels groups
together, the human eye perceives a continuous picture.
At CarbonPixel,
we believe that effective media must live, breathe, and energize.
The CarbonPixel name is intended to reflect our unique, human approach
to advertising, our ability to create media that appeals to many
users on numerous levels, and, like the mosaic of pixels, our emphasis
on teamwork.
